On November 17th, 2011, the Chairman Chief David Onuoha was awarded the national honor - MFR (Member of the order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria) by President Jonathan Goodluck in recognition of his achievements to nation building.
On December 17th, 2011, Abia State University, on her 21st convocation ceremony conferred Doctorate Degrees on some prominent dignitaries including Chief David Onuoha, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iwuala, Dr. Anyim Pius Anyim GCON.

Bourdex Group Limited was incorporated on May 23, 1995 (R.C. 38831). It was previously called Bourdex Limited which was originally incorporated on April 1, 1981 as a trading company. It is the umbrella of a diversified industrial and trading companies, including
1. Bourdex International Plastics Limited, founded in 1984 has the first ceiling tile factory in ABA, Abia State, Nigeria
2. Express Moneylink (Bureau De Change) Limited, licensed on April 3, 1991. R.C. 162324
3. Express Microfinance Bank Limited, located at 120 Clifford Road, Aba, Abia State, formally known as Ekeoha Community Bank incorporated in 1992 R.C. 220117
4. Bourdex Telecommunications Limited, a pioneer mobile telecommunications company licensed in 1997 by the federal government of Nigeria to provide fixed and mobile telephony in the nine eastern states of the South East and South South of Nigeria, became operational on July 28, 1998 as the only alternative to the then government owned NITEL. The existence of Bourdex Telecom brought tremendous economic improvement to the entire South East and South South of Nigeria. Bourdex Telecom was later sold to Visafone in 2007. Bourdex Telecom holds a pioneer status awarded to it by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
5. Bourdex Education Foundation, incorporated in October 20, 2009 (R.C. CAC/IT/NO 35311) and presently in discussions with the NUC to establish a private university in Abiriba, Abia State, Nigeria.
6. Bourdex Oil & Gas Limited, incorporated in June 13, 2010 (R.C. 896466) and undergoing processes with DPR and NIFEST with a view to supply boats and vessels for use on iol rigs and platforms.
7. Bourdex Technologies Limited, presently being incorporated to deal with ebook publishing and sales.

On the whole, Bourdex Group Limited has a little over 100 persons in its employ.
